For students with access to their own vehicle, an On-Road Assessment is available. Any remedial training identified as a consequence to the Assessment can be provided subsequently (click on In-vehicle Remedial Training tab above for more information).

The driver, in a variety of traffic situations, completes a comprehensive driving route. Each driver is assessed against national criteria contained within a matrix of given traffic situations. "Patterns" of behaviour are identified, collated and a “needs based” training programme can then be developed. Other formal courses can also be included as part of the suggested training package where appropriate. For example, a skid-car training course, depending on budget constraints etc.

Note: This assessment is approved for Court and NZ Police “Diversion” Schemes as well as many Corporate Bodies.
