Designed for riders who are competent in the use of clutch, gears, brakes, steering and general riding skills! This option includes some group tuition, up to an hours practice followed by the Basic Handling Skills Test, (a pre-requisite for the Learners Licence)

There are six prescribed skills tests, (all outlined in the current Motorcycle Road Code). You will need to allow 2.5 hours for this option. The cost, including tuition using one of our motorcycles* is $150.00. A re-test is $80.00.

All training is aimed at the standards required for the Basic Handling Skills Test. 

If you supply your own motorcycle, for this option the cost is $100.00. A retest is $50.00.

*A bond for m/c damage of $50.00 also applies in addition to the above fees.

Note: All privately provided motorcycles used must be in roadworthy and Warrant of Fitness condition. Also, the Basic Handling Skills Test can only be done on a class G registered motorcycle of not more than 250cc. We are unable to test on a class N registered moped.
